Another Amazon Fresh store planned in Northern Virginia – Business Watcher

Amazon getting ready for another Amazon fresh store in Northern Virginia.

The e-commerce company leases 45,035 square feet from Place du Manoir Sudley, a shopping center in Manassas, Va., according to permits filed with Prince William County.

The grocery store will be located at 7807 Sudley Road, one of three stores replacing a 104,690 square foot store Kmart which closed in 2013, according to to the Washington Business Journal, which first reported the news of the lease.

The owner, an entity called Princeton Virginia LLC, has owned the shopping center since 1998. It is managed by the Bethesda Company Seneca Properties.

The Greater Washington area has seen many firsts for the Amazon grocery chain. Amazon Fresh has opened its first store on the east coast in Franconia, Virginia. Its second and third stores are also in the DC area, one in Chevy Chase, Md., Which opened in August, and one in DC’s Logan Circle neighborhood, which was also the first to offer the Amazon cashless model.

The Manassas supermarket will be located between a Sky Zone Trampoline Park And one Automatic zone, according to a Seneca Properties rental flyer.

According to earlier information from the SFBJ, four more Amazon Fresh stores are planned in northern Virginia, in Fairfax, Lorton, Bailey and Potomac Yards, which would make six without the Maryland and DC locations. They have not been confirmed by Amazon.

Seneca Properties and Amazon did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
