GREENWICH – Police have said they are investigating a reported break-in at a store on Greenwich Avenue.

The RealReal store at 256 Greenwich Ave. was targeted by burglars at 1 a.m. Monday, according to police records.

The retail store window was smashed and a group of masked men fled with an unknown amount of merchandise, Lt. Martin O’Reilly said.

Smash-and-grab thieves hit other businesses on Greenwich Avenue earlier this year. Two pharmacies were targeted in June, according to local police.

Shoplifters also seized goods from RealReal and Hermes this summer, police said.

The RealReal, specializing in high-end clothing and accessories and e-commerce, opened in March on The Avenue. The company has 14 sites, including the one in Greenwich.

Detectives are investigating Monday morning’s burglary, police said.
