Bihar: Rs 22 lakh looted from jewelry store in West Champaran | Patna News

BAGAHA: Six criminals broke into a jewelry store and looted ornaments worth Rs 22 lakh at Tamkuha Bazaar locality under Dhanaha Police Station in West Champaran district at around 12:30 p.m. on Friday.
All of the criminals had masked their faces and opened fire shortly after entering the shop. Locals said the criminals came on two motorbikes and fled towards the Uttar Pradesh border after committing the crime. Bagaha SP Kiran Kumar Gorakh Jadhav, SDPO Kailash Prasad, Police Inspector Shekhar Chauhan and SHO Munna Kumar arrived at the scene after getting information. The SP said footage from the CCTV camera was being scanned to identify and arrest the criminals.
Three accused of rape detained: Police in Gaya on Friday arrested three people accused of raping an eight-year-old girl on April 8. Gaya SSP Harpreet Kaur said an FIR was registered at Sherghati Police Station in connection with the case under the POCSO Act.
“The three arrested defendants have been identified as Vinay Kumar, Deva Kumar and Akhilesh Kumar. They have confessed to their involvement in the crime,” the SSP added.
₹5L looted from office of e-commerce company: Criminals looted more than Rs 5 lakh from the office of a private e-commerce company in Chintamanganj under the same police station in Saran district on Thursday night. In an FIR filed with Garkha police station, Rohit Kumar, an employee of the company, alleged that three criminals on bicycles entered the office and looted the money at gunpoint. Garkha SHO Ram Sevak Rout said raids were underway to arrest the thieves.
