The official website of “Made in Bangladesh Week” was launched today. It contains detailed information about the event to be held in Dhaka from November 12 to 18 this year.
The week-long event will be organized by the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) in partnership with Bangladesh Apparel Exchange (BAE) to promote the local apparel industry on global platforms.

The event aims to showcase impressive stories from the sector, especially its remarkable advancements in the areas of workplace safety, environmental sustainability and worker well-being.
Apart from telling encouraging stories, the potential of the Bangladesh garment industry, its strengths, capabilities and future priorities to remain a preferred and competitive choice for global buyers will be highlighted among stakeholders and global audiences.
The event will open a dialogue among participating stakeholders on how Bangladesh’s garment sector continues its growth momentum in a sustainable manner and can have a positive impact on the economy, environment and people.
Made in Bangladesh Week will bring together a wide range of industry stakeholders, including representatives of home and partner country governments, international organizations, employers, private sectors, labor representatives, civil society, brand representatives, buyers and academics.
The week-long event will include the 37th IAF World Fashion Convention, 3rd Dhaka Apparel Summit, Bangladesh Apparel Expo, Bangladesh Denim Expo, award ceremonies, Sustainable Leadership (TSL) Award, Sustainable Fashion Award, Made in Bangladesh Photography of the Week Award, NRB Award and Fashion and Culture Festival, Global launch of the BGMEA innovation center, etc.
The International Apparel Federation (IAF) will host the IAF convention in collaboration with the BGMEA and the Bangladesh Knitwear Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BKMEA), according to a statement from the BGMEA.
