ALEXANDRIA, VA – Saltbox, a co-storage space for businesses, has opened its new location in Alexandria’s West End near the Van Dorn Street subway.
This is the sixth location for Saltbox, which offers warehouses and offices in major metropolitan areas. The 45,000 square foot Alexandria location at 4700 Eisenhower Avenue has 85 flexible warehouses and office space. Member businesses can also access conference rooms, flexible office space, loading docks, a photo studio, daily parcel carrier pickups and more. Operations specialists are available to help businesses with logistics like receiving and sorting.
“Expanding our footprint in the Washington, D.C. metro area has been our top priority, as it serves as the region’s central hub for growing e-commerce, technology and consumer businesses,” Saltbox CEO and co-founder Tyler Scriven said in a statement. “Alexandria is an important strategic node for the Saltbox network. We are working to eliminate logistics and shipping issues with our offering, and we look forward to continuing to help our members grow their businesses.”
Co-storage spaces are geared towards e-commerce businesses to help them grow. Many of Saltbox’s more than 300 member businesses across its six sites are e-commerce businesses, and half are run by women or people of color.
Saltbox’s other locations are in Atlanta, Dallas, Denver, Los Angeles and Seattle, and its first distribution center was opened earlier this year in Columbus, Ohio.
