WBCHSE West Bengal Board Class 12 Result 2022 on official website Toppers List

West Bengal class 12 result: On Friday, the West Bengal Board of Senior Secondary Education (WBCHSE) announced the Class 12 or Senior Secondary results at a press conference. Students who have taken the exams can view their results on the board’s official websites. Results are also accessible via SMS, third-party websites and apps.

A total of 745,066 students sat for the exam this year. The council recorded the overall pass rate at 88.44%. Adisha Deb Sharma from Cooch Behar topped the exam with 99.6% (498 points), followed by Sayandeep Samanta from West Midnapore with 99.4% (497 points). Rohin Sen, Soham Das, Abhik Das and Parichay Pari tied for third. A record 272 students shared the top 10 spots.


The West Bengal government had canceled Class 10 and Class 12 board exams last year following a surge in Covid-19 cases. He formulated a special assessment criterion to calculate class 12 results. Of the 819,202 students eligible for class 12 board exams last year, 97.69 percent passed.

In 2020, the passing percentage was 90.13% – the highest recorded in the history of upper secondary examinations. The overall pass rate in the science stream was highest at 98.83%, Commerce at 92.22% and Arts at 88.74%. A total of 761,583 students sat for the exam in 2020, of which 680,057 passed.

This year the exams were carried out in accordance with all Covid-19 protocols established by the state government.


Candidates can check their results on the council’s official website by following the procedures listed below.

— On the home page of the council’s official website, a result link will appear;

— Clicking on the result link will open a new login window;

— In the login window, the appropriate credentials will need to be entered;

— Once the credentials are submitted, the WBCHSE Class 12 result will appear;

— The result can be downloaded and saved or printed for future reference.

Students can also check the results by SMS by sending WB12 at 56070, 56263 or 5676750.

Schools can pick up class 12 mark sheets and distribution camp completion certificates from June 20, the council said. Students can then go to their schools to collect their documents. These certificates will be needed to apply for entrance exams and admission to engineering, medical and other undergraduate courses.


The council also announced the date for the upper secondary exam for 2023. The exams will start on March 4 and will be conducted based on the full syllabus. The board will no longer streamline the program by 30%, as it did this year.
